The people who point the way.
WayPoint Travel is a small, dedicated team that treats your trip like our own. Get to know the people behind your bookings.

Shelly Overbey-Higgins
Shelly founded WayPoint Travel in 2019 after decades serving brides, corporations and companies as an event planner, travel coordinator and support system. She built WayPoint to deliver the ongoing, relational service she saw missing in the industry — where the extras other agencies charge for simply come standard.
A married mom of three with nine grandkids, Shelly loves outdoor sports and never finds it too cold in her home state of Minnesota to get busy with the grandkids. She looks forward to doing business with you!

I've been in the customer-service business since my days as a Golf Professional. I started my sales career 21 years ago, when my wife and I had twin boys.
I've always been a very active person and love multiple sports — I'm an avid cyclist, skier, hiker and golfer. I enjoy planning trips for my family and watching their reactions when it all comes together.
It's my goal to make sure we accomplish your travel needs. Life is an adventure — let us help you with your next one.

Jennifer
I'm a married mom of two and a dog mom to one Goldendoodle. Before WayPoint Travel I was a teacher for over 30 years. In 2013 I earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies in Southern California, where I was born and raised. In 2015 my family moved to the snowy state of Minnesota, where I traded in a surf board for a snowboard.
In 2023 I retired from teaching and joined WayPoint Travel, where I help clients create memorable travel experiences. I love seeing how travel enriches people's lives and creates lasting memories for years to come.
When I'm not helping others with their travel needs, I lead a puppet ministry with my church and at a local memory-care facility — it's a joy to connect with both children and adults through storytelling.

Tiffany
I'm a wife, mother of three, NICU nurse and travel consultant. The same passion I bring to nursing extends to helping people create unforgettable travel experiences. I love Caribbean cruises, but Barbados will always hold a special place in my heart as my favorite island getaway.
When I'm not caring for patients or planning adventures, you'll find me cruising to new destinations, relaxing around a bonfire, discovering restaurants with live music, or spending time with family at the Minnesota State Fair.
Whether you're planning a relaxing or romantic getaway, a family vacation, or the cruise of a lifetime, I'm here to make the process easy, enjoyable and tailored to your travel dreams.

My husband and I have a blended family of five incredible kids, from our recently married 23-year-old to our youngest, who just turned 10. Family is at the center of everything I do. We just finished our fifth year of homeschooling our two youngest — days full of learning, laughter and a healthy amount of organized chaos.
When we're not on the go, you'll find us camping up in Burtrum, soaking up campfire time outdoors. My own creative hobbies keep me busy too — running, watercolor painting, crocheting and reading my way through the classics.
I joined WayPoint Travel in 2022 and stay busy behind the scenes handling invoicing and bookkeeping. I love being part of the team, because I know firsthand that some of life's best memories happen when you step away from the everyday and head off on an adventure.
